3D Animations Built for Scale.

I’m David Tran, a 3D animator and motion designer with more than ten years of experience working with a broad range of clients – from large brands to established animation studios.

Every project is a puzzle deserving of a custom workflow that fits the budget. The goal is always to spend time where it matters and make animations reusable without rebuilding everything from scratch.

My background includes movie postproduction and real-time work, which allows me to approach problems from multiple angles. I use AI-assisted techniques intelligently – to accelerate look development or make ambitious shots achievable – while keeping the final animation precise and flexible.

Day to day, I work in Cinema 4D and Redshift, with compositing handled in After Effects. Depending on the task, I’m comfortable working with a range of additional tools, including DaVinci Resolve, Substance Designer, Unreal Engine, or Blender. Alongside staying up to date with current AI trends, I’m actively deepening my skills in complex character animation workflows.

A lot of my work involves creating faithful digital doubles of physical products – from consumer devices and furniture to full-scale industrial machines. These projects often come with complex systems and strict constraints, which is where structured 3D and motion design really shines. I’ve created animations for well-known brands such as Vodafone, GEA, Cabinplant, Kingfisher, Duravit, Interstuhl and many more.

I often collaborate with agencies, animation studios, and postproduction studios. My role usually spans the full production process, from early concept development through to final delivery. My work has been seen in cinemas, trade fairs, museum exhibitions, retail stores and on tv.
Fun fact: One of the TV series I contributed to even went on to win an Emmy for Best Short-Form Series!
